How do I connect my devices to the service?

Below you’ll find a short guide to get you up-and-running quickly with configuring your Wi-Fi and connecting your gaming consoles or smart-devices over Wi-Fi or direct connection.

To connect your devices, such as phones, tablets, laptops etc, to the WiFi, follow the steps below:

-Go to the WiFi menu on the device

-Select the Imagine WiFi Network

-Enter the password.

You can locate your Imagine WiFi Network name and default password on the sticker on the bottom of your Imagine router.

WiFi key points to remember:

-For wireless devices, it may help to be in the same room as the router when you are initially setting this up to ensure the best signal.

-Our WiFi is transmitted on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequencies. When you search for WiFi using your devices, you will see two Imagine available WiFi networks (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz). 2.4ghz Wi-Fi has better longer range so select this on devices you plan to use further away from the router.

-Changing your Wi-Fi channels can also result in a better connection and experience. For how to change your WiFi channel see here. Please note: For Apple devices, channels 1-4 are recommended.

- Wi-Fi range only goes so far and can be limited by environmental obstacles such as walls, insulation, timber etc. If the Wi-Fi signal isgood near the router but is poorer far away from the router, you may need to invest in boosters or a mesh system to improve the Wi-Fi range through your home.

Connect gaming consoles

Consoles and any fixed devices, such as a desktop computer, over a direct connection will result in a much better experience. You should connect the device to the LAN port on the Imagine router using an Ethernet cable.

Xbox
Settings > Network Settings > Set Up Wireless Network > Select Imagine Wi-Fi > Enter Password

Playstation 4
Settings > Network > Connect to Internet > Set up Internet Connection > Select Imagine Wi-Fi > Enter
Password

Apple devices
Settings > Wi-Fi > Turn on Wi-Fi (button will turn green) > Select Imagine Wi-Fi > Enter Password (recommended channels: 1 – 4)

Android devices
Settings > Wi-Fi > Turn on Wi-Fi (button will turn blue) > Select Imagine Wi-Fi > Enter Password

Please note, some devices may require you to connect through Wi-Fi Protected Set up (WPS). To set this up, please turn on the WPS button on your Imagine router and follow the steps on your device.
