How we collect and use information
imagine will use reasonable efforts to prevent the disclosure or use of your personal information. We will not sell, share, or rent your information in any way different from what is disclosed in this statement. imagine may collect information from you at several different points on our web site.
- i. Registration
During registration you are required to give contact information (such as your name and/or email address). This information is used to provide the services that you have requested, or to contact you about the service on our site for which you have expressed interest. We may contact you from time to time with news as well as marketing and promotional information. We may also use the information to provide you with information we believe may be useful to you.
- ii. Cookies
Like most web sites, we use "cookie" technology on our web site. A "cookie" is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a web site to the hard drive of your computer so that the site administrator may identify your computer and passively track its activities on the web site. This unique number identifies your web browser to our computer system whenever you visit our site. We may place a "cookie" in the browser file of your computer, however the "cookie" itself does not contain any personally identifying information about you. - iii. Web Beacons
Also known as clear GIFs or single-pixel GIFs, web beacons are small image files that imagine may place on web pages and within web-based email newsletters that we send. Working in conjunction with cookies, web beacons allow imagine to accurately count the number of unique users who have visited a specific page on the imagine site and the number of times those pages are displayed. We can also use web beacons to let us know how many people opened a web-based email newsletter. This information is only collected in aggregate form and will not be linked to your personally identifiable information.
- iv. Log Files
We use server log data to help administer the site, to better understand the parts of the site and what types of content are most interesting to our site users, and to measure volumes of traffic. Each time an imagine page is requested from your browser, we log your computer's IP address into our log files. Your computer has been pre-assigned a 12-digit number. This number is the IP address. We use your IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track your movements on the site and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
